Paris in December, or rather, the vast Christmas Market on the Champs Elysées, the Ferris Wheel on the place de la Concorde, the wonderful shop windows by Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Kenzo and Dior on the Avenue Montaigne and Avenue George V, a few roast chestnuts, and me, walking on my heel shoes (well, all the same, this time my feet hurt.
